Hello

I've used GoRecord and all my friends who come here use them too.

We all get the full packet which is more expensive but insures you for anything.

Sue 😘

Yes, stay faaaaaar away from Gold Car!
It really pays off to have a private car rental insurance - and not having to pay directly to the car rental, as they charge quite a lot for this insurance.    I use rental cars up to 3-4 months per year, so it would be way too expensive for me 😊😊

Strange isn’t it....I use Goldcar all the time and have never had a problem. All rental companies will ‘try it on’ from time to time. I never take out their insurance, I have my own ‘excess’ insurance in the UK which I could use if I had to.

I’ve had brand new cars, and well used cars (50,000 on the clock is nothing to moan about by the way), with plenty of scratches and dents. You just have to carefully check everything and take photos if you need to. Nothing wrong in that. Don’t be put off Goldcar just because some have had bad experiences, I’m sure if you went through every rental company you will find people who will never use them again.

As I say, due diligence is everything. I have paid as little as 1euro a day for Goldcar rental, and I wouldn’t use anyone else.

Avoid Goldcar. They gave me a car with over fifty thousand km on the clock and riddled with dents. Then they charged my credit card with €320 for damages they say I caused, and €84 for petrol, even though I returned it with a full tank.

Never use Goldcar. They massively overcharge for the full tank which immediately wipes the cheap deal. They will cheat you on scratches or dents you didn't do.

Not if you book full to full.

I took photos of all the damage upon receipt and upon return, yet they still insist I caused damage to the vehicle. They even provided photos to prove the damage, but no additional damage was to be seen in those photos. I have complained to Goldcar and have raised the matter with my credit card company. I even have a private platinum excess fee waiver rental car insurance, yet Goldcar insist that is not valid. Before this I had never heard of Goldcar, but since I have checked them out on the internet and they have an abysmal reputation (just do a Google search on them). Glad you've not had any bad experience with them yet.

Hi

That's good if you have never had a bad experience with goldcar but if you do you will see how well they deal with your problem that is if you can get in touch with them

Hi... you're replying to me, but I'm the one who has had bad issues with Goldcar having been ripped off by them. You should be quoting and replying to erniemossity instead, as he's the one that is singing their praises.
