Good To Know I'm Not Alone

Thanks for all your replies - it sounds like most of you are further along in the process than I am. I was just getting some work done on the house to get it ready for sale and had a trip booked to go out at the end of March to do a bit of a recce in some of the areas I'm not so familiar with and speak to some letting agents. My plan is to rent for the first year to get embedded in a community and make sure it really is the right decision for me and then buy my forever home. Has anyone else done it this way?
