Looking for work in Torrevieja or 20 minute radius as I do have a car. I am booked to arrive in Spain on 6th February 2023. I speak fluent English and German and I can get by with Spanish but I am still learning. I am qualified in england to Finance Director level and can take on any role doing bookkeeping or accounts easily. Also I have been working as an estate agent in my local town in England for the last year.

If you are a UK passport holder you will need to have a work visa to be able to live and work in Spain. You will need to secure a work position first and then your prospective employer will need to apply for a work visa on your behalf from the Spanish consulate in the UK.

I’d guess the person who posted this question is only living in England. The person said that they speak English and German fluently.  I don’t think they’d mention their fluency in English if they were English.  May be wrong but we may or may not find out as no reply to your advice as yet!

You need to have been offered a position before you can obtain a  visa allowing you to work.

Your prospective will unfortunately have to jump through hoops to employ a person not from the EU.

Great news found an apartment and managed to get a second interview. So excited only one more week before I leave the uk and join you under the sunshine in sunny Torrevieja.

Good Luck in your interview

So as a UK Passport holder, are your prospective employers able to obtain the necessary permissions from the EU to allow them to offer you the position.

It will be interesting to see how you get on. Due to the high costs  and red tape involved by both parties, I’ve not heard of anyone who’s been offered a position in the last couple of years.
