Hi,

I am looking to move to Torrevieja and require suitable employment and visa for this.

I’m an experienced manager in retail/customer services and I’m currently employed as a manager in adult health and social care. I don’t speak Spanish, but would love to learn the language. I also play piano, self taught.

I’m open to suitable opportunities, including working in hotels, bars, reception, customer relations, etc.

Moving from where? You mention a visa so assume it is UK with a UK passport. If you want to work you need a guaranteed job offer with a contract from the employer and witnessed by the Spanish foreigners' department.

You then apply for a work visa using this. However, the employer must also certify that the position could not be filled by a EU citizen. Very difficult to get work visas nowadays with a UK passport. There are shortage vacancies but they are mainly for doctors, IT specialists etc.

Best of luck but you'll need to visit Spain and contact suitable management in the jobs you are looking for to get the offer of a job with a contract.

In addition to Marcliff excellent answer,

ALL available work positions in Spain must be offered to an EU citizen first by law. So the positions that you are hoping to be available are most likely to be filled by other EU citizens.
