Hi All,

I am a British qualified electrician with over 15 years Electrical experience looking to find some work in Torreveija area as looking to move there ..... currently living in Sax but finding it very difficult to secure any electrical work or any work at all as my Spanish is not quite good enough yet.

If anyone knows of any companies in and around that area I would be very greatful to find out if there is any opportunities.

Thanks in advance

I assume from what you say that you are not qualified in the Spanish regs. In which case, combined with your lack of language, I think it unlikely that you'll find work - legal work that is.

You are correct that’s why I was hoping to try get my foot in the door and learn more about the Spanish system ( regs ) and of course my Spanish language and hopefully go forward and get spanish registered in time

You don't have knowledge of Spanish Regs nor do you speak Spanish and Very few jobs exist where you are working for someone on a weekly wage. Based on the above you wouldn't get one of these anyway.

Your only opportunity would be to become self employed and go and find your own work but based on above You are in a weak position.

Learn Spanish and get up to date with the Regs this will give you more opportunities.

Unfortunately I too don't think you'll find any steady work

Hi Paul

My electrician is Spanish and speaks English and Italian.

He is Spanish trained and knows everyone in the building trade and still he is not in work full time. He has jobs here and there but it seems to be that way over here.

Good luck
