Hi Keith do you know the area Acequoin beach is this a nice area

I’d like a central base as I’d like to explore the area

Thanks for all your help Ella

I don’t mind you shortening my name that’s fine

Hi Ella, yes I know Acequion beach, next to Náufragos, split by the salt transport conveyor belt. Acequion is a non swimming beach, but I've seen people swimming, haha, Náufragos is nicer.

The area is full of high rise apartments and only a short walk to the centre of Torrevieja, I can only say it's not an upmarket area of Torrevieja. I have learned that the red building in front of the health centre is home to Los gitanos, gypsies, which bothers some people.

There is only a small Dialprix supermarket in the area, most supermarkets are in the Habaneras area.

Hope this helps?

Saludos, Keith

Hi, i am Ella 0131 i am planning to come to Torrevieja in October and staying for 2 months to find out if this is place i would like to live.

I have a few things to sort out .. is 2 months enough time to find if the place is for me... my family are concerned that i am going alone and dont speak Spanish but can speak Italian ......

...

Where is a good place to live on your own im 54 but will be 55 when im going is it ok to come alone?

Through time if my plans work out id lilke to bring my cat but for now she will go in the cattery for 2 months

I have or hoping to get an Italian passport

I would appreciate any feedback as i say im coming alone and dont know anyone

Thanks Ella 0131

Speaking Italian will help. I’ve heard people speaking Italian to Spanish people, and vice versa; they seem to understand each other.

Two months in winter will give you a good feel for the place, but you won’t see it at its busiest and hottest. Maybe try another trip in summer to be really sure.
