We’ve just noticed that our Digital Certificates expire next month - we hadn’t even noticed that they even had expiry dates!

Can anyone please advise on how we get these renewed? We’re hoping it can be done online - although we find the website for this and Cl@ve almost impossible to navigate. Many thbaks

I did mine a couple of weeks ago. I received an email (went to junk folder) from [email protected] telling me my digital certificate was about to expire. There was a link in the email to download a new one and revoke the current certificate. It was very easy to do and double clicking on the downloaded certificate automatically installed itself via windows wizard. I saved the certificate to a usb flash to install on my other devices and had no problems.

Do note that I receved the email at the end of August and the email stated "We inform you that your digital citizen certificate (NIF/NIE: *******H) issued on 11-05-2020 is in the renewal period. The definitive expiration will occur on 05-11-2023"

Ditto here, very easy, no real Spanish required.

BTW what you have saved on your USB stick is not the certificate itself but rather a unique link to the secure server where it is in fact held. This is the reason the certificate is virtually platform independent.

In effect to the end user one equates to there other but I thought I'd just point out the distinction.

Thank you to everyone who offered help and advice. Finally sorted - but not straightforward! Next hurdle will be the renewal of our TIEs in 2025 .. not looking forward to that bun fight!!!
