Check your electricity bill it will tell you what wattage you have coming into the property.
We had the same problem so we upped the wattage, this does come as an extra charge on your bill though, plus you will need a certificate from a qualified electrician confirming the wiring can take the extra wattage before the upgrade can take place.
Our property had been used as a holiday home so the wattage was perfectly adequate for that type of use, but when living in the property permanently with all the extra appliances being used it needed upgrading.
