I have been given the job to find a place to eat and drink on Sunday in the area of centro comercial Punta Prima, strict instructions given are good beer and food/meal at a fair/cheap/reasonable price for 5 beer drinkers and hungry guys!!!! As I am based in Torrevieja I have no idea where to start, so any recommendations would be greatly appreciated, looking forward to hearing from you. Many thanks. Peter.

Hi

I think you mean c.c.Punta Marina, next to Punta Prima roundabout.

There are endless bars and restaurants - if you want British food your best bet is Captains Table, upstairs in the corner of the c.c.

Otherwise there are a number of Chinese/Asian/Italian restaurants, and others. Oh, and McDonalds! Next to McDonalds is Patio Andaluz, for Spanish food.

If you want evening entertainment, there's a live rock band playing outdoors at El Capitan (approx 400 metres further along the N332, beach side, next to the water tower) at 8pm. There'll also be a band in Taberna Marco Polo, about 10pm indoors.

In general, the restaurants are very good value (though Marco Polo tends to be a bit expensive because of the entertainment).

Beer is the usual Spanish brands, with some Guinness and John Smith's in tins. A Spanish pint is maybe €3.50. There's a German bar across the road from El Capitan.

Thank you Stevec2x, you are correct about the area, thank you, definitely no British or Irish bars and tinned beer, Spanish food and beer always, l feel l will need to do a dummy run before Sunday and again many thanks for your input, All the best and enjoy your day.
