How does the funeral process work in Spain?

I know this is generally a taboo subject but is one of importance. I have seen the posts for the death cafes and would be interested in attending the next one close to Torettas 3. I would like to know how the funeral process works in Torrevieja? The average cost and what role the funeral directors play. Could anyone please help with this information?
