If the property is in Torrevieja you should be able to do all the stages in around 3 months as the Town Hall are fairly quick with the Compatibility Certificate and the Office of Tourism doesn't have much backlog at the moment. But, of course, there is the Christmas break coming up.

Do you already have an Energy Performance Certificate? If not you will need to obtain one, valid for 10 years so if you have purchased recently you could use the one produced for the sale.

Town Hall fees vary, but most are around €35 or €40. The License application is free, you just download the forms. Registering with the Guardia Civil is also free. You will need to buy your plaque and complaints forms, but cost for both will probably be under €40, depending on where you go for the plaque.

You can do it all yourself or you could pay a gestor to do it for you for a couple of hundred euros.

You will then need to submit quarterly tax returns if you are non-resident.

All forms of advertising must include your License number.
