Torrevieja is perfect in November usually. Car hire becomes much more agitated that time of year, again, usually.

Nothing should be closed as it’s a working town and presumably the same in Quesada.

Places to visit eg. There’s a hotel in Los Alcazares that advertises in the free newspapers. They offer free accommodation but ask that you pay for your breakfast snd lunch or evening meal. €37. We’ve stayed and really enjoyed ourselves. Good food and hotel full of pleasant visitors. only 30 minutes down the coast.
you could also consider driving to Almeria further away. We stayed in the AC Marriot hotel in the centre of the town. Book your carpark space before arriving.  Visit the beautiful castle, drive about 15kms to the old film studios for the Spaghetti Westerns and then visit the natural zoo on the same site. It is the best zoom I have ever been to, quite magnificent.

Cartagena… beautiful city about 45 mins drive. Naval museums and an amphitheatre second to none.

Elche.  Museum and castle. A lovely place to visit

Same goes for Murcia. Wonderful museums, have lunch outside the Cathedral, visit the bull ring. So much to see and do. Mist of the restaurants close after lunch at 3pm and don’t reopen until 8.30 pm. Very Spanish. Same in Almeria.

A shorter trip to Santa Pola. Beautiful marina with numerous restaurants You can take a 15 minute fast ferry over to the island of Tabarca and enjoy a delightful lunch in one of its many restaurants. (€10 return ticket)and then stroll around the island before returning.

So much to do. I could keep on writing but I need to go to sleep as it’s after midnight now!

Enjoy your planned trip

It all depends on what you are up for. Don't expect to have it all. Every place has it's pros and cons.Come in and find out why life can be more enjoyable. Weather is fine and booze is cheap. The world belongs to everyone and the best things in life are free. The Paradise doesn't exist but with some phantasy and good will you can build your own. This is ny personal experience after living now 56 years permamnently here.
