Hi

Can anybody tell me where I can purchase a Sunday newspaper from?  I am near LosLocos beach area. Unfortunately Iceland doesn’t open on Sundays.

Thanks

Hi Caz

Have you considered downloading the newspaper to your phone, via Amazon? I get mine every day, for about £12 per month.

Cheers

Steve

Thanks for that idea Steve but my husband prefers the paper copy.

I always patronise Libreria Esquiva in Calle Azorin in central Torrevieja. They have all the UK newspapers (at a staggering premium, of course) . Otherwise, there is another at the end of Calle Maria Parodi and one close to the indoor market. Hope this helps.

Perhaps if you tell him how much cheaper it is reading it on line, he’ll change his mind!

I’ve been using Press Reader for years, paying 23€ per month, although I think it’s a couple of euro’s more for new subscribers. I read a couple of newspapers a day and browse through all the weekly womens magazines and at least half a dozen monthly magazines, just because they are there to be read.

You read your newspapers and magazines in exactly the same way as you would a paper copy, turning them over page by page. They are formatted exactly the same as the paper copy. For that price you get over 600 U.K. publications plus 1000’s more from across the globe

You can also view them on a couple of devices.

I love the fact that you can make a cup of tea of a morning and crawl back into bed and read the paper. Especially on cold winter mornings.

Hello

I'm with your husband, I dont want to look at everything on  a screen .....what I want is in the name-- newspaper.

I'm down the coast from you & never find anywhere for my Sunday paper anymore, local supermarket cancelled during lockdown as no one was here to buy, beach kiosk provided my paper for 6/7months of the year but that's now just food.  I love papers & books , not a kindle fan either.

Cheers
