Social Clubs or Gatherings

Hi Joanna I am looking for the same thing. Live near Gandia and been here now for 8 months and still haven't met anyone. If you find out anything please let me know as I would like to get to know people also.

You need to look in your local freebie newspaper. Look on the pages that advertise local clubs and societies...easy!!

Try joining a local U3A group or search Facebook for local groups.  

Pop in to your nearest bar, have a beer or a coffee and ask.

Groups very often hold their meetings in bars as itsbusiness for the bar owner during the quietest winter months.

I lived in Oliva for a while and there was a thriving U3A group there.  Should be one for Gandía too. 

I've just moved to Villamartin.  Would love to find out about social events / sports etc.

I know a very active club, but it only for ladies, doesn't mean if you are married you can't join in, you just can't take any men along.  It's very hard for ladies on their own to go out.   This club has about 80 members some living in Spain and some with a holiday home like me.

You can go to any event put on the group or create an event yourself.  Most of the meals, nights out etc are around, villamartin, la fuenta and cabo roig.  Some trips are arranged by people.  Anything you want to do you can ask if anyone else wants to join you.

We are very social group.  It's a whatsapp group so you have to request to join.  People mostly recommend others.
