Flight with a dog

Has any one flown a dog from the uk to alicante and it so what airline

And how did you go about it many thanks Helen

Hi Hibbert, I have not done so myself but am aware that blueair airlines allows pets to accompany in the cabin with a combined weight inclusive of their carrier basket of 6kg .

Off the top of my head I think Spanish bound flights are ok but inward flights back to the UK are not permitted with pets in the cabin. I may be wrong but

When we moved to Spain our yorkie Lucy was on the flight with us, unfortunately the airline was Monarch, who are no longer around, it was not cheap. One piece of advice we were given was book your pet in first then your own tickets as it's easier to change your pets flight than your own.

KLM used to allow small dogs under 6kgs in the cabin rather than the hold. Having said that Lucy was fine in her travelling crate in the hold.

You will be stiffed for more money when you pick up your dog at the cargo area at Alicante 4 years ago it was €30 not a vast amount but when we had already paid in excess of £700 for her flight it was irritating to say the least.

Hi Les. From what I can see on the website they don't fly to Spain from UK. I can only see Romania and I think 1 uk departure to Italy.
