Just wondering can you buy a house in a urbanisation and run a dog day care centre, or will neighbours complain about barking. Thanks for your answers.

Not only will the neighbours probably complain but you would also need permission from the community, town hall and health authorities, just to mention a few that come to mind.

If you own the property outright yes you can, you need to inform the insurance that you are using you house for doggie day care, you will be checked for the size of your property because by law you have to have enough space, i am allowed 6dogs no more, so thats where pricing comes in. You also need your atomo. As for nabours if you are buying its far easier (and usually alot cheaper) to buy just outside an urbanisation with a large terrace or garden. I run mine from my home legally so feel free to ask any questions.

Hi Redmike,

Just to add to what Martyn has advised, "autonomo" (self-employed) in Spain is expensive.  For the first year of trading, monthly contributions are discounted, but then it increases significantly and you have to make the monthly contributions, whether you earn income or not.

I would recommend investigating this thoroughly - given the restrictions that Janice has alerted you to, your business could be scuppered very quickly if you don't comply with legal requirements.

Kind regards,

Kim
