Hi we have just received our first annual suma bill due to be paid in September. The bill we received is still in the previous owners name does anybody know what suma office we have to go to get the bill put into our name so we can pay for it out of our Spanish bank account please ? We live in blue lagoon

Thanks Tony

I would think it would be the Suma Office in Playa Flamenca, located in the street going down from Mercadona towards the Town Hall, it is on the right hand side of the street on the first floor, they are very helpful and English speaking.

Hi Ray

Many thanks for your reply, we purchased the property last December, so not sure why it’s not in our name now ? We had the same problem when we applied for our padron a few weeks ago . Thanks for the advice will visit the office next week and hopefully get it all sorted

I would imagine you would go to the Suma office ,next to Orihuela Costa Town Hall, Next to Mercadona off the N332.  Any other questions we always use Spanish Solutions ,their offices are at La Zenia. Hope this helps??

I recieved mine too, still in previous owners name. I contacted my solicitor today who told me the name will not change until January next year. I moved over here in March this year, there was a reduction of €50 which the previous owner had been already been charged for when the sale went through as a part year payment up to March. I paid there and then with my debit card, it was as easy as that. But there are several options of payment. Obviously next years payment will be the full amount. Hope this helps. Jane

We pay all our SUMA collected bills IBI, Car Taxes (IVTM) and Basura by  PPP (Personal Payment Plan) set up by our Solicitor.  This is a monthly DD. SUMA advise when it is to be collected (20th) a few days before and advise when it has be collected a few days after.   Spreads the SUMA load.   Receipts for the full payments of say IBI are received in good time for our Tax Return.   Simples !!
