That’s what I was expecting, but so far it’s still working without the additional code. Strange.

I have, in the last couple of weeks opened an account with Sabadell Bank. I was given a personal adviser, along with e-mail and phone number, in the event I have any questions, queries or problems, I can contact her directly. My bank card arrived in the UK within four days of me opening the account in La Zenia. It was easy to activate on-line and was able to access my pin etc. Although I have not actually tried to use my card yet, I was impressed with the service I received and should I encounter any issues I will contact my adviser!

.. I do hope it goes well for you. Unless they have changed the so-called security format of their debit cards, keep it well away from your mobile phone wallet. I had mine wrapped in tin foil to further dusuade me from putting it in with my phone. And so, out and about, there it sat in my top pocket, if I had one.
How's that for a secure way to carry a card!
Unlike any other card type I have ever had over the years - and for as long as mobile phone covers have existed - I have never known any other card issuer produce a card that gets destroyed as soon as it comes anywhere near the vague magnatism field of a mobile telephone. It may still work using a pdq macbine at a restaurant, for example (albeit unlikely) but it immediately disallows ATM use.
Very short-sighted and, in my day, Sabadell refused as a matter of policy to post replacement cards to UK.
I found it the 'bank that likes to say no.'
Yes, I had an adviser at La Zenia also, Sonia. She was fine to start with but then I was handed to someone else because the customer service slipped considerably and I complained about it.
I hope for your sake, they have adopted a more intelligent, user-friendly approach now.
All the best...
