Morning all. Just learned there is fibre optic available at our new flat at Muna Spa resort can anyone advise if its possible to organise an interner wifi provider before we arrive on 27 June or do we need to do this on arrival. We will be using the apartment as holiday home. TV furniture arrive on our first day and we are looking at options for providers for UK channels.

Try TVHorodada .They are online so you can research prices and packages to suit your needs .I pay €30 per month and this comes with approx 50 TV channels mostly English ones BBC and ITV but others you would expect from freeview E4 etc .With this you also get a good speed Internet to enable you to stream alternative TV (IPTV box) and have unhindered Wifi internet access .They have a stand in the foyer of Alcampo ( Zenia Boulevard) They speak English and were very helpful . Take your passport and a utility bill of your Spanish address plus a bank statement ( similar to setting up a credit contract in UK ) .They also offer switch on/off Wi-Fi deals ideal if you just popping over 3 or 4 times a year or you want to lock and leave .

Yeah Ronnie it can be a mine field with companies putting prices up but main thing is to get a company with good coverage of your particular area . Most tie you in for 2years on a deal and promise the earth to “brand new customers “ ( Just like Sky and Virgin in UK ) .Ole at La Zenia roundabout are another company to look at for comparison .Good Luck

Unsure about the Firestick Ronnie as we keep meaning to take it to Spain but forget. A "friend of mine" has bought an IPTV receiver box or DigiBox via Amazon UK (about £125 one off payment). He tells me that all you do then is go online and sign up for a fee of (between £65 and £100 one off) to companies (based in countries that cannot be regulated by UK law) who give you all the Channels that you require and I mean ALL of them Sky Sports Sky Movies BT Sports Premium Channels and  Pay for view events without paying etc etc .. dependant on your preference and purse .I think its known as a DodgyBox but as the name suggests probably illegal so you may not want to go down that route.I am told that as long as you have a good speed broadband that it is good quality both in Spain and in UK (I also believe that you can buy an external memory drive in order to record and keep programmes (similar to Planner on SKY).He has had his for over 2 years without any problems save for a couple of freeze frames during electrical storms

As for Amazon Firestick I have heard a rumour that you cannot access certain things like Netflix whilst in Spain as it identifies your VPN as UK based  (even if you legally subscribe in UK as I do ). This is similar i suppose to when for instance you are in Spain using your Lotto App via mobile to put your lottery numbers on and it wont let you connect to sign in as it recognises that you are outside the UK. Same with UK betting Apps, (Its a juristiction thing) . Perhaps somebody here can add their experience of Firestick as I too would be interested to know if it works on a plug and play basis
