has anyone on here ever used this company for holiday wifi?

they advertise a daily rate for internet which would suit me as i come out for shorter periods throughout the year and other companies, it would appear, you need to pay for a calendar month at a time.

i'm in villamartin  so it would be good if someone nearby has used them as they advertise a speed of 8mb which i believe would stream HD tv via my android box, but i would like to know if that speed is actually achievable or just an optimistic 'guesstimate'.

web site address below, scroll down the page for the list of daily charges:

many thanks.

Hi

We have a house in Pinar de Campoverde where P&N have an office. We have a switch on, switch off service which works perfectly well. I email them from the UK and they phone me and take my card details for payment each time. They don’t keep those details in record. Never had any problems

We have their switch on and off service for our apartment in Villamartin. We also send an EM when we want service and they ring us in the UK. We find their customer service excellent and I think you will find your leaflet is out of date as their new standard service is now 12 mb. You should be able to switch on for less than a month at a time.

The first 2 months when we were here early last year we were getting 7-8 mb most of the time. However from November 2017 to April 2018 we had a number of issues with speed getting as slow as 1mb on many, many occasions. We were advised that the problems were caused by a crane between us and their transmitting mast. Apparently our speed would be affected by the angle of the crane when they stopped using it at the end of the day.

They switched us to a newly installed transmitter a few days before we came back to the UK earlier this month and the speed did seem to improve. It does really depend exactly where you are situated in Villamartin as to how good your speed will be, it can vary a lot, but the additional transmitter should help.

very useful info. thank you.

i would mainly want the internet to stream tv so a speed of 1mb would not be any good. i will contact them as i wonder if they do a site visit to establish what real time speeds you should actually receive prior to installation.
