WiFi, satellite tv

Hi there, moving out to Villamartin in the next 6-8 weeks. Can anyone advise on WiFi and British TV? Are we going to need a home telephone line to have WiFi?

It depends where you are. If your street or urbanisation has Optical Fibre then you won’t need a phone line. If you contact Olé Comunicacion or TV Horadada they will let you know if they have fibre in your area.

Thanks Pete that is very informative. We dont fancy have most of our terrace taken up by a large dish so would want to opt for an alternative if anyone can advise. Many thanks

Hi
We are in villamartin and the WiFi couldn’t handle the tv. We opted for satellite dish €200 one off installation and WiFi for phones, tablets etc. Tv is great and we get around 150 uk channels. WiFi is ok in winter but in summertime it can be hard to pick up-we are at top of hill near mast and still only get one bar. We currently pay €25 Euro pm for the internet with ole-would gladly swop to fibreoptic but apparently waiting times are huge!

We use TV Horadada who have a reasonable fibre network in the area. 30€ per month includes super fast broadband and British TV
