Public transport to the coast

Good Morning

I note that many of the properties for sale in Villamartin advise that they are just a few minutes drive from the coast/beach. Is it possible to easily walk to the beach from say, the Plazza area and if so, approximately how long would that take. Also, is there a bus service to the beach? Last question, would taxis be readily available to the beach if required and approx. cost, if anyone knows.

Hi jb1963 i have a apartment on plaza it is only 5 mins drive to beach but to walk it is about 35/40 mins especially in heat i have walked it many times.bus are every hour in summer but in winter hardly available taxis do park over the road from plaza cost about 8 euros to la zenia boulavard hope it helps.

Yes there is a bus that will take you to the beach. You need to find out where the nearest bus stop is to you because Villamartin covers a large area. The buses cost 1.35€ and apart from July and August, they run Mon-Fri daytime only, every 1 and half hours. However, they are very reliable. July and August they run 7 days a week every hour daytime. Note they are all request stops. A bus timetable can be picked up at La Zenia Boulevard in the Information kiosk. You can reach Playa Flamenca, La Zenia and Cabo Roig beaches this way. Obviously the journeys are much quicker in a car.
