I think there is a lot of contradiction surrounding travel at the moment. Airlines seem to be getting back in the air and some countries are opening borders, but the UK home office is still advising against all but essential travel, which I think means travel insurance is invalid. Certainly, I've checked with my annual provider (LV) and they still say any trips booked after March 21st 2020 are not covered for any claims related in any way shape and form to Corona Virus.

Given insurance companies fondness for finding loopholes, I'd suggest they will manage to make any potential claim CV related (Your camera was stolen? The thief may have had Cv so sorry, not covered). So in effect you are traveling with no insurance.

If I am honest, i hate flying at the best of time, so the flying now is not good and we dont no what to expect when arriving, as everything will be different and rightly so, people who live there also want to reamin ok! So its a bit scary for everyone ( i think anyway)

We have changed are minds alit of times do we book and they cancel but boom anyway

But then its the plane, the difference in spain when we get there, same as difference in uk,

So we at the moment like 🤷🏻‍♀️

Loopy, I totally get your predicament and its a one only you can answer.

We are going over to complete on a property and arrange some modifications that we want doing or we possibly wouldn't travel until next year, we took the decision to drive as we feel it will be the safest way to transit and also we need a car while we are there so it covers all bases.

I haven't worked for 11 weeks and have no intention to return for the foreseeable if I am honest, we have tried as best to stay in the house and social distance but the country seems as though the virus has gone and we are all ok to carry on with the way some are acting.

Good luck with whatever you decide.

I can hear the prayers and fingers being crossed by many on this forum that us mere holiday home owners wont be allowed to come. I for one would absolutely love it to hear from a single member on this forum on the 1st of july that they have arrived safe and sound and get to enjoy their home, if n...
