Has anybody flown from the UK to Spain since the latest UK lockdown? Were there many questions at the airport about your reason for travelling?

Gary - this is exactly what I need to know as have placed a deposit on a property before the latest lockdown , hoping to see it a few days later . I really need to come over but am unable to ascertain wether it is deemed essential travel as such . So frustrating.

I don't think this will be classed as essential travel.
And if you do not have residency or work reasons then I don't think you can get round it.

I don't think viewing a property will be considered for reasons as essential travel. Don't forget that owning a property in Spain doesn't give you any rights whatsoever for residency etc.

There are quite a lot on local forums who have traveled to Spain during the English lockdown with no questions or hassle. If you fly into Alicante or Valencia you can travel around the Valencia Provence with no problems unless going to Elche and a couple of other city’s / towns that are in short term lockdown and there is a cerfew between midnight and 6am. If you want to go to Murcia fly into Murcia airport. There are several reasons you can cross the boarder one is for legal reasons document signing etc so a quick word with a lawyer in your chosen area and an appointment booked will allow you to travel round fairly easily. Check the N332 Facebook page for latest rules they are brilliant.

Hi Annie,
If you already have residencia/TIE, you are allowed to return to Spain as your habitual/permanent residence.
I don't know when you're planning to travel, but you need to be aware that, commencing 23 November, Spain will require a negative PCR test for travelers from high-risk countries:
You also need to complete the Spanish Travel Health forum:
Kind regards,
Kim
