Hi Andrea,

The article talks about potential 200euro fines but not in locations like Villamartin. To be honest I have struggled to find much information about the low emission zones (LEZ's) in the region at all.

On the N332 f/book page they say that the zones will be initially in larger towns and cities, a list of 6 cities are given.  As far as I have read the authorities across CB have not yet set up areas where the restrictions will located and how they will operate. As it is less than 6 weeks to Jan 1st I do wonder if these will be in place.

Also, I have asked if anyone has obtained a LEZ sticker for their vehicle, but so far no responses, maybe someone can advise.

Rgds,

Aitch.

I applied for one these stickers for my 10 year Old Ford diesel. Paid 6€ and said it would be with me in 14 days, that was a month ago!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It was simple to apply for it but receiving it is a different mater.

The way I read rules that it was cities like Madrid and Barcelona that have/would have emission zones just like some of the cities in the UK.

Regards

 Jim

I understand that it is only for towns with 50,000 or more residents.   There is an article about it on the N332 website.

Hi Jim,

thanks for the info, your the first person I have heard from who has bought the sticker (or tried to!).  Did you apply at the post office?

I hope the sticker comes through soon!

Hi,

yes, that's the way I read it, on the N332 site they list 6 towns/cities in Alicante region as likely candidates for the low emission zones.

It looks like it will work similar to London and a few other UK cities, restricted areas where only vehicles with lower emissions can enter (well enter without a fine!).

Rgds,

Aitch.
