Hi all, I've been told that Goldcar car hire at Alicante airport has ceased trading and office closed although they are still open on their website. Does anyone know if this is the case as I can't get any further info, thanks.

If this is true then I suspect that you've just dodged a bullet. Truly awful company!

Yes been told off friend who runs hire car business,that gold car gone bust,really bad reviews,keep away

Hi, I got here on Friday 29th Oct and Goldcar were open at the airport and also online in the the UK.
Having used them before as the most shocking car hire company in the world and charged for a “Scratch” that wasn’t there when I dropped it off,I wouldn’t trust them at all. They also don’t mention the airport surcharge on their quotes, which adds 30 euros.
Not to wish anybody bad news, but I hope they go bust, to save many a holiday maker, the misery of a large charge for the terrible crime of a scratch they never put on, but made by them, to cost you more.
