An interesting question. Vehicles that you own should be registered in your country of residence. However, many UK residents own Spanish registered vehicles that are kept in Spain for their use while on holiday.
If you can sort out the insurance (non resident, driving with a Spanish licence) and provide a UK address for the registration then I can't see a problem as long as you don't intend driving outside the UK.
I suspect you would have problems driving the vehicle in Spain, as a Spanish resident, with a Spanish licence. You would be required to matriculate it onto Spanish plates and I suspect that a RHD motorhome would be difficult, if not impossible.
One solution would be for someone else (UK resident) to own the motor home and for you be the named driver on the insurance with a letter giving you permission to drive the vehicle. Do you have any relatives resident in the UK?

N332Have you ever read the following statement?;"You are not allowed to drive a foreign-registered car if you have a Spanish driving license."We would like to explain you the following; With a Spanish licence, it is allowed to drive foreign registered vehicles, unless you are the owner. In this case unless you have started the vehicle registration process, the Police will fine you and and the vehicle coud be impounded. The Spanish licence is an official document which proves that you are resident, so according to the law on special taxes you must register all your vehicles in the country where you are resident.Summarizing, the Spanish licence is internationally recognised, so you won´t have problems to use it all over the world, BUT remember that once you get your residency, apart from changing your licence, you will have to begin the process to register all your vehicles in the country. He is correct, as long as you are not the owner.
