Providing your UK insurer is happy with your licence & residency situation, you are OK to drive your UK car in the UK only. This is similar to non residents in Spain having a Spanish registered car or use at their holiday home.

With Spanish residency & Spanish licence you can drive your street legal Spanish car throughout the EU and the UK.

If i can’t exchange my uk licenses after December I will get rid of my Spanish car I can do without it.

I’ll still have my uk license so I will drive my partner uk registered motorhome in the uk and Europe.

I'm currently in England driving a UK registered car, taxed, insured and road legal but my license is Spanish, I was under the impression I could drive here on my Spanish license for 3 months. My Spanish car us at the Airport.
