If I am Spanish resident do I have to have a Spanish license or can I keep my uk license to drive my friends uk registered motorhome, I don’t want to drive a Spanish registered vehicle.

Yes, if you are a UK citizen and a Spanish resident, you have to exchange your UK driving licence for a Spanish licence.
Prior to Brexit, you had up to 2 years from the date your residency was granted to exchange your UK licence. Since Brexit, you must exchange your licence within 6 months. The exception to this is for those UK citizens who became resident last year and registered their intent to exchange their licence with DGT: they have until 31 December this year to complete the exchange.

Just got tie card so to late to register for license exchange so still driving my son uk license until 31st December after that if we have to take a test Which I will not I’ll stop driving my Spanish car but hopefully I can keep my uk license to drive my friends motorhome I am on her insurance to drive

Hi,
Assuming you mean you will drive her motorhome in UK then you will be ok to do that with your UK licence, however if you mean you will be driving her motorhome in Spain with your UK licence after dec 31st then you will be in trouble if stopped by police as they will expect you to have a spanish licence by then. Doesnt matter where the motorhome is registered to.
