Can anyone help me with finding out how to check if I have any speeding points and how the system works if you are caught by a speed camera.

You start of with points, which increase annually. You loose them as punishment and when you get to zero you are disqualified. But so far I've only lost two because my wife got caught speeding on camera 10times (in 5weeks), usually you only loose them over major things, so if you've been speeding you will most likely just get a fine of 100 euros.

I would suggest you follow the N332 page on Facebook, you’ll find the information you are looking for on there. I’ve found a photo for the speeding fines on urban roads, but you should be able to find a guide to the driving laws in Spain on the site

Hi Kim63

Assuming you have a Spanish license, a letter will be sent to the associated address. Fines can be paid here https://www.suma.es/PortalWeb/localizadores/cuerpo_tramites_carta_pago.xhtml?idioma=en

The letter will also tell you how many points, if any.

There is a DGT app which can probably be used to check your points.

Cheers

Steve

Thanks I've downloaded the app, but cannot activate it . Just wanted to check if I've been caught speeding. Sometimes you go past speed camera wondering if you have been done.
