We returned our postal votes last Thursday.

Has anyone else?

From the people I know, most of them didn't bother to register to vote, and yet they still complain about the possible effects of Brexit. In my view, they aren't entitled to express an opinion.

except..... ( of course, those, whom, have lived here) paid UK taxes ( & still do!) Have no democratic right. (unless I missed Jim´s guide.... ( almost, I´m possible of sure, its there!!!) I have, therefore (for those above reasons, the pantomime season since 2016-2019) or anyone, over three years (here on the forum) who has explained the pros of leaving the EU. The UK made the best opportunity (financially) to make the best escape(not entering the EU currency)   & prove that the island (UK) can fiscally continue into the future. Those that enjoy the festive season & into the 2020´s enjoy our Europe, where we belong, geographically, and some of us live.

Merry Xmas all.

We are flying back on Wednesday 11th so we can go to vote on Thursday!

Actually we are going back for Christmas but the timing has worked out quite conveniently.

Democracy.....

"Voters in the UK go to the polls on December 12 in what’s been dubbed the “Brexit election” – but many who stand to be directly affected by the outcome have no say in the matter.

Despite a surge in registrations, it’s thought that hundreds of thousands of an estimated 1.2 million Britons living in other European Union countries are not eligible to vote as they have lived abroad for more than 15 years."

Did I read that right ? ... you have properties around Newham and you pay people below the minimum wage to work on them.

How legal is that ?

Jajaja. My Romanian friend can push a bath full of bubbles. Never heard of Newhaven, ("is that near Torrevieja" was asked.!)

She´s only 63.5 kilos, can fit baths (full loadsa tubs), but never pushed ´em!

Hi Kelvin,

Not only illegal, but morally corrupt.  It's like Ray, who complained about not getting a pay rise for 11 years, because his boss employed cheap, European labour, yet Ray tolerated it, instead of reporting his boss to the relevant authorities.

But, hey, at least I've discovered a second positive that may come from Brexit - no more blatant exploitation of non-British Europeans in the UK 👍

Best wishes Kelvin,

Kim
