I have recently joined this Forum and I find it so informative,

Myself, and Mrs T are looking at a 2 year plan where we are looking to retire to the Costa Blanca in 2026.

Hopefully we are visiting next Christmas/New Year to see what the Costa Blanca has to offer, with a follow up visit the following summer.

We are interested in the Villamartin area, where we intend to rent for a while with a view of buying our own place. We have found this Form so helpful, answering an awful lot of our questions, from financial matters with banking and Tax implications.

One question I have is, are there many clubs, in the Villamartin area, we could get involved in craft/walking/Sport etc, to keep us occupied during the week. We are fairly fit for our age and would welcome any advice you could pass on.

Keep up the good work with this Forum, it means a lot to those of us who are thinking of making the leap.

A couple of websites that may be of help are as follows:

Citizens Advice Bureau Spain for bureaucratic stuff, and

N332 for anything to do with driving in Spain.   The website, and their Facebook page, is for English speaking people and is run in collaboration with officers of the Guardia Civil.   The website has an English version of the Spanish equivalent of the Highway Code on it.
