First and foremost do you speak Spanish?

AFAIK your Gas Safe qualification counts for nothing in Spain meaning that you will have to retrain locally which of course will be in Spanish.

Remember also that unemployment in Spain is the 2nd highest in the EU (~15%) only marginally exceeded by Greece (~17%) so not only are jobs - any jobs - hard to come by but understandably most employers will naturally favour Spanish applicants, or at the very least fluent Spanish speakers.

Brexit isn't helping and qualified and fluent or not there is already an element of employers not even entertaining job applications from UK nationals. There seems to be a feeling that Jan 31st. is Brexit done and dusted and employing non EU citizens is just not worth the extra effort.

Sorry to be so negative but that's the way it is and if moving is dependent on securing a decent well paid job (be that in your field or otherwise) then I'm afraid you'll almost certainly be heading for a big disappointment.

Our local installed supplied a Baxi combi boiler last year (made in UK). But the Baxi model supplied to the Spanish market differs slightly from the one supplied in the UK. I think the same is true of most of the common brands.

Domestic wet heating systems aren't big business in Costa Blanca, and most of them run propane.

Sorry to be negative but even Spanish people have some difficulty getting jobs.

Can I suggest that you have a look at Jim’s Guides on this site as it may answer some of the queries that you will have.   Another couple of helpful sites are:

Citizens Advice Bureau Spain for general queries

N332 for anything to do with driving in Spain.   This site is run in collaboration with officers of the Guardia Civil for English speaking people and has an English version of the Spanish equivalent of the Highway Code.

When we had a house built I was forced to have a Spanish fitter to do the gas installation.

The installation was a catalogue of disasters including putting a 25mm drill down through the roof terrace breaking the waterproof membrane for an 8mm pipe. Needless to say I think your talents would be appreciated here but you could find yourself struggling even though you are no doubt better than any home  grown 'fitters'.

Just remember they don't soft solder any pipe joints, they silver solder or braze.
