Carpet cleaning

We have two small carpets out of our caravan that need a good clean so I am going to give them good scrub I don’t want to buy a big bottle of carpet shampoo is there anything else I can put in a bucket of hot water to scrub them with.

Hi some supermarkets might sell individual sachet of shampoos, if not I would use just use a light washing up liquid or even hair shampoo. Like you said it’s just for the caravan.  As usual do a patch test see what you think. Might work. 

I’ve also seen some men using the petrol station car hose shampoo wash to blitz their car rugs.

A little Aerial liquid in warm water, scrub, allow to dry then vaccum.
