The costa is, let's be frank, heavily populated by non-Spanish. Unsavoury though it may be, it is a factor in the council's distribution of funding.

Hiys,

That sounds good for Benidorm but it is not the case at Orihuela Costa. Some dump yards near the containers are very close -5m- from private properties and it is not only disgusting as the panorama to the property inhabitants, it is utterlh disrespectful and a serious health risk.

They should leave their rubbish at their own doors and have it collected from there.

Why do they think it is okay to leave it at other people’s houses???

BTW: i have taken the effort to take some pictures from today afternoon at the location of "La Florida" - as part of Orihuela Costa and caught a dirty criminal with a big van (approx. 3 tonnes of garden rubbish - he wanted to dump at the park area in La Florida). When I followed him he took lots of tiny private streets to disappear but I always caught up again. Finally he called another car of his illegal gangster company and they blocked me from following the van with the garden rubbish. Finally the second car drove zick-zack on the roads and put the car across for a total blocking.

I got the plates and the company - if you ever see them , please watch them as they are rotten criminals and sport them to the police.

Location when the criminals turned up was:

Calle Sagitario at La Florida Urbansation on Friday, 21.May 2022 @ 14:47

The Van registration of the illegal dumpers is:  2564 FBW

dark Blue Renault Van  from a company:

Mantenimientos CHINCHON Integrales

there telephone: 625 819 444

                           625 555 227

They tried to escape when caught in the process of illegal dumping and were very aggressive - 2 dirty guys spanish speaking.

The non- Spanish also have a historical habit of not bothering to register on padron etc - so the authorities don't know how many people to cater for. There are many Brits who were caught out by Brexit and left Spain because of it. I suspect there are plenty of other EU nationals who can't be be bothered to get legal and are still here.

I applaud you for your actions but it's not worth putting yourself or your car in harms way just for rubbish. Some of these types can be very aggressive.......

Report them to the authorities.

Hello

"the Spanish hate us Brits"   is a very sweeping  and totally incorrect comment!

SOME Spanish people might dislike SOME Brits, it depends on the type of  British people they are & the effort they make too - I suspect not much in some cases!

Do they integrate with them, learn their language so they can speak to them , respect their traditions & employ their tradesmen to work for them?

I have an assortment of nationalties as neighbours ,mostly Scandinavian but I love my spanish neighbours the most.  When they are here, they explain things to me, invite me to their apts & are around if I need help.

I  chose to live here in their country & I treat all Spanish people with respect  & kindness and it is  mostly returned,.....  in general I dont experince this 'hate' you speak of.

Cheers
