I’m very new to golf and live near Campoamor golf course, I’m looking to find a golf partner or club to join to play a few rounds when I’m over normally the UK school holiday.

Golf in Spain is expensive so rather than joining a golf club, you’d be better off joining a golf society.

Pop into The Stray Sod  for  details. Alternatively almost every bar in the area runs a society. If you’re planning on playing in the school summer holidays, when it’s cheaper, you shouldn’t have a problem joining as a guest as  numbers are low in August  and most golf courses are deserted.

Yes, certainly better to look at joining (one or more) golf societies located in many of the bars around.

Some play once a month but others are weekly/fortnighly (and you simply dip in and out if you are otherwise engaged/away). Almost certainly cheaper than liaising with courses direct.

The list of societies around Villamartin will I suspect be too long for me to list but am sure popping into your local bar will either locate one there and then or at least find someone who is a member of one elsewhere!

Hi Sean, thanks I will,  I’m just starting out playing golf but as we have 3 courses near by it will be good to get some games in the sun.

Hi Sean, I will look at the site, maybe we can go to the driving range as I use Campamor course.
