My husband and I are moving out this year. My husband is a pensioner and we understand he will be covered for any medical treatment. I am under pension age and do not intend to work, will I be covered as his dependent or will I have to pay for my medical?

Your husband will be able to get an S1 from DWP at Newcastle to transfer to the Spanish health service. At the time of asking for the S1 he should ask that you be covered as well, as they don't do this automatically.

Your husband should ring DWP on 0191 218 1999. He'll obviously need his and your NI numbers.
