Presumably the OP is thinking that that Spain is lagging behind with vaccines. That is most definitely not the case.
Just looking at the fully jabbed figures for both Spain and U.K. It’s difficult to make accurate comparisons becauseSpain are vaccinating the over 12’s and the U.K. were only vaccinating adults over the age of 18. I know they’ve reduced the age to 16 now, but as that was only announced last week, there’s no one of that age group fully vaccinated whereas in Spain we do have over 12 year olds with both jabs.
So looking at the figures released on 11 Aug the U.K. had 75.3% of adults fully jabbed
Spain has age brackets of 12-19, 20-29, 30-39 and so on .
So if you look at the rate for Spain using the lower age limit of 20 we have 72.3. % fully jabbed
That looks to me as though Spain are well on track
However if you want to spin it another way
According to worldometers the population of Spain is 46,774893
According to Spanish Health Stats 28,993,301 are fully jabbed = 62%
According to worldometers the U.K. population is 68,281,798
According to U.K. Gov stats 39,839,709 are fully jabbed. = 58.3%
