Well said RayD, I was assaulted by someone renting an unlicensed property next door where a group of youths were partying until 5am on the Sunday morning, I went to ask them to keep the noise down and got punched in the face resulting in a black eye, because it's unlicensed, the police have no idea who is staying there and the absent landlord ignores all attempts at contact.
Did all the right things got a medical report and went to Guardia Civil. I'm not at all hopeful of any kind of justice though.

Oh my god thats awful! Whether licensed or not that kind of behaviour is shocking, hope you're ok now. We use an agent in Spain close to the apartment who take copies of passports, registers tenants with the local police etc and i'd like to think vet any trouble makers.
