My latest renewal has just come in at £260 ( around €300 as a one off payment). That seems quite high to me and just wonder if anyone can recommend a UK based company that I could get a competitive quote from? Or it may well be that this is a competitive price? My insurance includes all admin charges, £5,500 of contents and legal cover.

We also insure with Intasure and have for the past few years - May be worth checking the cover you have to ensure you are only paying for what you need, as they do offer quite a comprehensive set of extras eg paying for you to fly out to check the property if there is an issue etc.
we felt we valued having a U.K. company to deal with, peace of mind etc. our last quote was similar to yours but for a 2 bed apartment, with £20k contents.
