Has anyone experienced any issues with the new military checks or have recent experience of how long it is presently taking ?

This only came in after Brexit, I have heard its taking upto 6 months to get clarification another issue of buy and selling for Brits now in Spain.

I received an email last week from an estate agent in Spain that stated 'as from the 2nd of July military background checks are no longer needed and checks that are ongoing will be scrapped'  I sent the email to my Spanish solicitor for his attention and am awaiting his response, as I am in the military background check queue.

Hi ! Did you hear any more on this ? We have been told we can complete without it but the Notary has only had verbal confirmation but seem ok with that …..

Hi, I've not heard anything else about it, I sent an email to my Spanish solicitor on Wednesday last for clarification but I've yet to get an answer. I am over in September to complete, I have asked him to withdraw my application and for him to get my money back (Over a grand).
