Dear Susan. Unfortunately, during the hollow tinning in Spring 2022, the greens became infected. A number of courses suffered similar problems. Despite generally overcoming this by the end of the summer, the club employed a specialist to continue the repairs and maintenance. Annual spring hollow tinning was completed this year and again after the August annual competition. The specialist team have been working for over two months now to fully renovate the greens. The greens are scheduled to reopen on Monday 2nd October and will be hopefully back to their normal standard. The last 18 months has been difficult, I’m a member and at times the greens have been excellent, but these repairs, which are in the long term best for the course, have been frustrating. It’s also extremely annoying when golf tourists fail to repair their pitch marks. 🤬 Hopefully, the problem has now been resolved and I’m sure the club will continue with the services of the specialist in the future. I’m also Secretary of one of the societies which play Campoamor. Feel free to join us anytime. We also arrange a monthly awayday at other courses and an annual 3 day event further afield. I look forward to seeing you at some time soon. Happy golfing. 🏌️♀️🏌️♂️
