Looking at overlaying Spanish floor tiles with modern floor tiles on our ground floor has anyone got experience with this was it successful? If so approx cost a contractor charges per M2
Also we are not keen on the existing tiles on our upper floors but cannot overlay due to existing tiles flush finished with stair landing is there a over paint or something that can be used as a cover up of existing Spanish tiles?

If you Tile on top of existing Tiles on ground floor will external Doors open.. There is a paint available to paint Tiles but but short life span .No idea on Costs.Just look up local paper or you will see work taking place in your area or ask your President he should have a number or 2

Thanks very much for info,I can cut doors as necessary I’m a retired Carpenter Joiner ( not a tiler unfortunately) 👍👍

If you cut bottom of external doors be careful as there is a step down in most houses/ Apartment for what I can't make out. Keep rain out I guess. You will end up level with mostly Marble threshold. I have Aluminium back door with no adjustment on it but it up 125mm above tiled floor. I will be looking for Tiler to do Soluriam in new year.
