I can't offer advice on your wages question but have you looked at the requirements for immigration on a NLV? Also, if you intend to work in Spain you would need an employee work visa.

I would suggest that you have a look at the Tips and Guides on this site as well as the Citizens Advice Bureau Spain website.   Many things changed for Brits on the 1st January this year when the U.K. left the EU and so became classed as Third Country people who have to ‘jump through many hoops’ to move to Spain.

From my (limited) experience, self-employed builders are only charging around 12 Euros per hour in my area, including van, tools, etc.

Specialist skills would attract a higher rate.

20 years ago I charged 50 Euros an hour for two of us. We did A/C And electrical installations. We used to supply and fit A/C with heat pump for a bedroom for 900 Euro and made a decent profit as we got 35-40% discount on the units. We only charged for the units no labor or pipe. We fitted many every year 100 or so. Now things have changed so much and a unit supplied and fitted are around 250 Euros not sure of the quality or make/ model. We fitted Fujitsu ? General and Carrier. Most builders did the job by price. Hope this helps.

10 to 12 euro an hour seems to be the norm for people trying to make a start in the building trade locally here in Xativa. The established guys, with good reputations, charge circa 15 euro an hour.
