After several cold calls I was persuaded by Sabadell Bank to take out their home (Blink) insurance. I double checked several times if I would be covered for outside (garden/patio) water leaks as this has happened to me before. I was assured I was covered. After a few weeks, inevitably, a leak occured from a water pipe leading to the house. Unsurprisingly, I was told my Sabadell insurance did not cover this eventuality. My complaints landed on Sabadell's deaf ears! I was previously insured by Liberty Seguros who not only covered a repair to a similar leak last year but also refunded the excess water bill. I saved about €20  by changing to Sabadell and have regretted it ever since. Be warned!

I've advised on here many times not to take Sabadell insurances, given my experiences.

I've always added that I am more than happy with the banking side of their operations, but the insurance should be avoided.

I always ask for a copy of a policy's T&C's before signing up for any insurance and if I have specific requirements then I ask about them and for the responses by email.

No disputes then about who promised what.

Do Sabadell record calls?

One reason for taking out insurance with your bank is that it can cancel out bank charges which so many seem to complain about.

Didn't know that Sabadell make random cold calls selling insurance.

Or do you have an account with them?

Not a random call, I bank with them so probably thought I was a good catch.

I had a cold call from them a few days ago. When I told them we had our house insured with them when we first bought but  we discovered after a year that they had insured the wrong property!

The caller didn't pursue his sales pitch!
