Is anybody able to advise if I am able to travel further than my local supermarket to buy Lactose and gluten free products?
Where can I find the necessary forms should I be stopped by the Police.

Hi Steve,
In Catalunya, people have to complete a "self-responsibility" certificate, but I asked our Ayuntamiento about them and was told that it's not required in the Comunidad Valenciano region.
It would make sense, however, to have something prepared in case you get stopped by the police, along with proof of your condition, e.g. my Dad is Coeliac and has a prescription for the associated Dermatitis Herpetaformis. Do you have anything like that which proves your condition?
I'd suggest writing out, in Spanish, where you're going and why you need to go there, along with a copy of anything you have confirming your condition.

All the major supermarkets carry a range of lactose and gluten free products so if the real question is "can I travel further to buy the products I prefer" then the answer is a no.
How have you been managing this far?
If you really can't find suitable or acceptable products locally then unfortunately the correct thing to do is to go without and adjust your diet accordingly.
If you have a genuine medical need for precise or specific products then you should be able to get something from your doctor to show on demand.
