Hi all. I am trying to help a friend in getting his COVID jabs. He is a resident but too young to be on the health system, so has private health care. I'm in the same position and recently used https://coronavirusregistro.san.gva.es/sipcovid19/registrosinsip?language=es to register for my temporary SIP, which I was sent via SMS (although I am still waiting for my first appointment!). This link doesn't work anymore, so I wondered if anyone out there might have an update as to another link. I've been on the gva.es website but I can't find anything that takes you to a registration procedure to provide a temporary SIP number. Thanks for any help.

Surely if he is a resident he will already have a SIP card, and if he has registered his tel no at health Centre he will be called

No OP stated he has private health care and therefore not eligible for a SIP card

Your friend will need to register at the local salud.

Needing to take with them - passport, padron, TIE card, proof of private health care. The salud may also ask for EHIC card, if they have one take it, but if not and asked for it, just explain they are not eligible. They are not supposed to ask for EHIC as it is not a requirement to get a card, as you are proving you are resident by showing your residencia details.  But you know what red tape is like in Spain, always be prepared and take the kitchen sink with you!

Most importantly ask for a temporary SIP card for the vaccine only.

Other posters have been given the runaround at their salud, but it seems if you ask for a card for the vaccine, it helps.

Good Luck

Lynn
