Can anyone help with how I can replace an old Iberosat TV remote control please? Do you have an old one you don't need or do you know where I can buy one?

Took me almost 10ins to change a channel this morning! (I have tried new batteries)

Take it apart and clean it.

Don't ask me how but over time grease can build up on the contacts on the printed circuit board which prevents the buttons making proper contact. I've revived dozens of remotes with just a clean.

The fact that it does work eventually means I'll guarantee that is the problem!

Many just clip together but sometimes there will be a couple of small screws.

Don't be afraid to show it who's boss, a bit of damage to the housing won't affect its functioning.

What do you normally use to do the cleaning?

I use a weak solution of washing up liquid on the rubber membrane which are the buttons and properly wash it.

For the printed circuit board contacts a kitchen towel dabbed in the same solution will do the trick.

Make sure everything is completely dry before putting it back together.
