Can anyone advise if your Padron needs renewing and if so how regular?

Are you notified of a renewal?
thanks.

Every 3 months but it's very straight forward, we took our twelve year old one in last year when we started our residency process and they didn't bat an eyelid.

Every 5 years if you are still at the same address. If you change address then you must update your Padron.

Does it change from area to area? when we went through our residency process we were told by TFX in Pinoso, they guided us through the proicess that it was every 3 months and we've been doing that since, if it was valid for 5 years surely they'd have told us in the Ayuntamiento that it wasn't neccessary.

Hello Paul

I didnt even renew my padron when I exchanged my  A4 residencia paper  for a TIE card in November. My gestor, who prepared my paperwork said  it wasnt necessary if I hadn't moved house - my  padron was almost 3years old.

Cheers

We are officially required to renew every two years. And, no, there is no reminder system - annoyingly, one is meant to be responsible for one’s own affairs! I simply put a reminder in the iPhone app for a couple of years time.

Hi Paul,

Prior to Brexit, UK nationals, as EU citizens, had to renew our Padrons every 5 years.  Now that the UK is no longer in the EU, we have to do so every 2 years.  However, there are several formal processes where you need one that is no older than 3 months, but that doesn´t mean you have to renew it every 3 months, only when you need an up to date one.

Kind regards,

Kim

That's in line with something I've just read, "whenever you need to validate your address you will need a pardon no more than 3 months old"
