Hi All, I hope you can give me some Advise about my Travel Insurance. My Wife and I Purchased Earlier this Year before we came to Spain to get our Residencia, but due to Complications with that we spent 5 Months in Spain, then we Returned to the UK for the Summer before coming back to Spain a few Days ago. Unfortunately My Wife has fallen Seriously ill. Our Problem is that we have exceeded the 90 Day Limit of our Yearly Insurance. So will the Insurance know how long we have spent in Spain ? Thank You in Advance..... Chris
Hi Pete, my Name is Knight also, lol . Yes we have EHIC Cards, but I am looking at the worse case scenario, that she wont Survive, Apparently they cant do a Lot for Her. and I would like to "Take her Home to the UK" Chris

Hi Chris
Firstly, may I offer you and your wife my best wishes.
My wife was taken ill while we were away a few years ago. Among the first questions asked by our insurer was for evidence of checked-in flights, to determine the duration of our trip.
Some insurance policies are annual multi-trip. I suggest you check your policy; if you have an annual multi-trip policy, your current trip only started a few days ago.

Yes but they could still want to see your travel history and the onus is always on you to prove what you say not for them to disprove.
Hope all goes well for you.

Hi Kelvin, Thanks for your reply. Yes we have an Annual Multi Trip Insurance but it has a Maximum Stay Limit of 90 Days and we Exceeded that on our First Visit Here Last Winter. Regards Chris

Hi Ray Thank for your Reply. Yes she has an S1 and Residency but we have yet to Register on the Spanish Health System. She was Sent to UCIE ? by Ambulance and is now in an Induced Coma, but the Prognosis is not Good at all. I will be Opening a New Thread Soon about Her Condition and to Give a Warning to Fellow Brits. Regards Chris
You could talk to your insurance company and ask for an extension. You have to pay an extra but that will be cheaper than other options.
I am spanish and I speak english. I could help you if you need me at the centro de salud or any other office.
Good luck and regards

Hi Saranda, I cant see our Insurance company giving us an extension if they can save money if they don't ? I have been in Touch with the British Embassy and they cant seem to make their minds up on this. I have to Give a Different Department Tomorrow . The Good News is that my Wife is Responding to the Treatment. Regards.... Chris
I am really happy your wife is getting better. I hope she recovers completely!!
Regards
Thank You all for your Good Wishes...…. Regards Chris
